We have several payroll options to serve our clients.
First, keep in mind that we have not only tried to keep our prices competitive with the large companies, such as Paychex and ADP, we also feel we have a competitive advantage to help you strategize for tax planning purposes throughout the process AND coordinate the paperwork and with your tax return preparation at the end of the year.
Next we have an incredible Payroll Processing team, led by Debborah Stanton and Cynthia Morales. They will consult with you at the beginning of the process to make sure you have the right payroll service in place and give you an exact quote for services we will provide. They will also be there to help you throughout the year and provide excellent customer service.
Nevertheless, to help you get a feel for the process and our fees, here the options here at K&E CPAs:
Option 1– Is the owner/shareholder payroll for typically an S-Corporation (or an LLC taxed as an S-Corp). This is typically a quarterly payroll service, where Forms are mailed to you quarterly, and deposits calculated for you to make yourself out of your own company bank account on a monthly or quarterly basis. The cost for this will vary somewhat based on the amount of your salary, and ranges from $125 to $170 a quarter. There is also a one-time set-up fee is $100 to obtain your state payroll Tax ID Numbers.
Option 2– We may also simply process some payroll for your children in your Family Management Company (sole proprietorship or LLC), if you are using this strategy on an annual basis. This fee is $85 for the 1st Child’s W-2 and $50 for each subsequent child, all included with W-3 and everything else you need. There is also a one-time set-up fee of $100 the first year to obtain your state payroll Tax ID Numbers.
Option 3– Is what we term Live Payroll. At K&E we would actually calculate your payroll checks each pay period and instruct you on how much to write the checks for, including the withholdings, etc… yet you the client write the check to your employees. We would also process your quarterly and annual reports, etc… The cost will be tailored to your situation, but is generally $38 per payroll period, $125 for 1st-3rd quarter, and $175-$200 in the 4th quarter to also process your W-2s.
Option 4– Live Payroll with Trust Account. This is the process wherein we actually process your payroll for you in a trust account and direct deposit payment to your employees on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, etc… basis. Many clients think of this as the full-service payroll system you might have at Paychex or ADP. Again, based on the number of your employees, we will tailor a competitive service package and price to you that fits your budget and needs.
